Groundbreaking for Philadelphia Naval Yard’s Energy Innovation Hub

An Energy Efficient Buildings Hub, an initiative of the Corbett adminstration for the economic development of Philadelphia and Southeastern PA, was established two years ago through a federal Department of Energy grant. The groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for two buildings that will serve as the Hub’s headquarters and “living laboratory.” Learn more about the Hub and what it will do for the Philadelphia area.

L&I Building Code Council sets May meeting

The Uniform Construction Code Review and Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, May 29. The group has been the focus of attention for advocates of updating statewide building codes including PCIC member companies who support updates related to energy efficiency. New PCIC representative named to Storage Tank Advisory Committee

DEP Secretary Michael Krancer has appointed Scott Nowicki of TTI Environmental, Inc. to the Storage Tank Advisory Committee. PUC & Homeland Security agencies to host Cyber Security Session

DEP provides update on new permit review program
